New West Papuan Bilum String Bags For Sale

We are now selling these traditional West Papuan bilum bags, with all contributes going towards the Free West Papua Campaign.

These bags were made by Dolly Karoba (pictured here), an elder from the highlands of West Papua.
A refugee from Indonesian brutality in West Papua when she was young , Dolly walked all the way from Wamena in the highlands of West Papua to Vanimo across the Papua New Guinea border.
The journey with 3 young children, took over a year.

After traumatic experiences as a refugee, she was forced to leave New Guinea and seek asylum in the Netherlands where she now lives.
Mrs. Karoba wants to contribute to her people#s struggle for freedom so she now makes these traditional Papuan bilum bags to sell so that profits will be raised for the Free West Papua Campaign.

We will be selling these bilums, as well as many other West Papuan merchandise including flags etc at the Cowley Road Carnival in Oxford, UK tomorrow to help to raise funds and awareness for a Free West Papua.

We will very soon be selling these through our website shop at http://freewestpapua.org/shop/ so people all around the world will be able to buy them.

Available in all colors and designs you see here, as well as many more, please do come and show your support, please do buy these bags and help to carry the struggle oft he West Papuan people everywhere you go.
