of Papua Kingmi Synod, Rev. Dr.Benny Giay admitted the church is failed
to improve church members’ lives, mindset and character.
“Our church have fails. HIV / AIDS figures are increasing. We do have a big nice office, but we fail to build their character, ” Giay said at Papua Kingmi Synod office in Jayapura city, Papua on Thursday (20/3).
According to Giay, it is important to teach and encourage them to be responsible to their own behavior and act both good or bad.

“I think the church and we all should keep good and positive behaviors and do not allow the devil to steal from us. So, it is our responsibility to remind each of us in the society to maintain and build good character within ourselves, “he added.
His statement is also in accordance with the notification letter to all pastors under Papua Kingmi Synod regarding to upcoming legislative election. The opening letter mentioned that the last few days and months, we as the church will witness some of our church members involvement in the election and their involvement would affect the church and congregation.
