Seeking Full Membership in MSG has been primary objective in the
WPNCL application. To seek support among all MSG countries, a West
Papuan delegation visited Noumea, Kanaky (New Caledonia) this week as a
part of official political tour in the Melanesian region.
The delegation consisted of Dr. Otto Ondawame- Vice Chairman of the
WPNCL, Mr. Barak T. Sope Maautamate, the former Prime Minister of
Vanuatu and adviser to the WPNCL and Hon. Nato Taiwia Ejate Member of
Parliament.
The delegation was warmly welcome by the FLNKAS Executive. The
delegation presented to the FLNKAS Executive and Mr. Victor Tutugoro the
official application of the West Papua National Coalition for
Liberation (WPNCL) to become a full member of the Melanesian Spearhead
Group
The delegation of the WPNCL met with the Executive of the FLNKAS and
the incoming Chairman of Melanesian Spearhead Group (MSG), Mr. Victor
Tutugoro on Thursday 11th April 2013 in Noumea, New Caledonia. The FLNKS
Executive were honoured as a Melanesian people and Nations and pledged
their full support for the cause of the West Papuan people for freedom
and independence and then said:

FLNKs leadership would therefore be very happy to welcome the WPNCL as a
new member in our Melanesian family. We open our heart and extend our
hands to receive you the lost Melanesian son to come back into rightful

killings of Melanesians in West Papua.

political leadership of the FLNKAS and people of Kanaky. On behalf of
the leadership of the WPNCL and the people of West Papua, we would like
to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for their support.
