Supporting Letters of Students Alliance of West Papua to Oceania Interrupted on Action 8 in Welington
Dearest
My freedom fighters, Maori and Pacific women.
First of all, we, the people of West Papua would to thank to God and your ancestors for your very support on this struggle to independence of West Papua. I am writing you on behalf of the heart-broken people, everyday crying people, the people who are questioning over and over about their lives, whether they will remain in this land or the colonizers will take our land.
We had never had a hope under the illegal occupation of Indonesia to West Papua but we have hope in you now, the Maori and Pacific Women. Our voice couldn’t be heard, our suffering could be seen, and our mourning could be felt and our cry could be heard but today I am boldly to say that we have hope. That hope is in YOU, Maori and Pacific women
Since you founded Oceania Interrupted, You are supporting on this struggle every moment. You take risks for our struggle. You give out what you have for our struggle; you spend everything for our struggle, even your lives.
You know all about our struggle, you have studied about our history under the Dutch colony, and handed over to UNTEA and to Indonesia. Honestly my people had never welcome Indonesian to our land, the land of West Papua.
On your action 8, we, the people of West Papua, Students Alliance of West Papua (AMP) all over the world support fully to you, Maori and Pacific women, our freedom fighters. Not only that but also we support everything you do to liberate us from under the Indonesian illegal occupation of West Papua. The people West Papua’s prayers, with full of tears is with you.
Lastly, I would like to thank you in my tribal language, WA WA WA WA!
